OES Specials Clubs – Mondays

**MONDAY OES CLUBS**

Art, Music, PE, and Spanish teams will be offering “clubs” that students can attend during the morning hours on Mondays.  Attendance is optional.  We are hopeful students can attend to further explore their interests in any of the areas that they like.  The topics will rotate throughout the year and we hope to see many take advantage of these unique experiences that they probably wouldn’t be able to in a “typical school year”.  Details and sign up information for the clubs is below.  We are asking that students sign up so teachers can be prepared.

  • Do you need extra time to work on your art class assignments? 
  • Do you want to chat with Ms. Georgacopoulos while working on any art project your mind can imagine? 
  • Do you want to practice your drawing skills with a community of artists? If you answered yes to any of these questions then Monday Art Club is for you!

    • 10:35-11:05 2nd and 3rd Grade
    • 11:10-11:40 4th and 5th Grade
    • 11:45-12:15 6th Grade

This is not a graded class, so Ms. Georgacopoulos will not be teaching or introducing any new skills. This is an opportunity to ask questions and work on any artistic activity your heart desires.

Music and Mindfulness Club – Join us each week for a calm half hour of experiencing music through meditation, art, and movement designed to help you quiet your mind for a peaceful start to the day.

Dance Club – Get up and move with music!  We will learn some dances using Let’s Dance videos, popular TicTok dances, Folk Dancing and your own creative movement.

Recital Hall – So many students ask to share their talents with us, and this is your chance! If you study music outside of school (or even if you don’t), this is a unique opportunity to perform in a positive environment for your peers.

Guitar Club – Learn the basics of guitar!  We will learn some basic notes and chords so you can start rocking out! Please bring your own guitar.

Our first unit is a bike club.  Come learn about biking and biking safety.  We will cover topics such as:

  • Fitting your bike helmet correctly
  • Checking air in your tires
  • Safe riding
  • Biking tips
  • Videos of different bike trails in the area, with some of the bike trails video produced by Mr. Kegerreis
