Mathnasium of Fairfax is your neighborhood, locally owned, award winning math learning center that has been serving the Fairfax community for the last 12 years. We help kids in grades K – 12 understand math by teaching the way that makes sense to them. When math makes sense, kids leap way ahead – whether they started out far behind or are already ahead in math.

We are a group of passionate math educators and tutors dedicated to not only teaching math in a way that makes sense but simultaneously building confidence in kids. Our specially trained math instructors teach children how to understand math in an individual setting – our unique approach enables us to effectively explain math concepts and lend a helping hand to every student. Our tutors foster a caring, encouraging environment that helps kids thrive and learn! We start the kids with our unique assessment process to determine (with great accuracy) exactly what each child knows and what they need to learn. Next, we design a customized learning plan for teaching the concepts the student needs to master while aligning the curriculum with the current school grade. We continuously monitor the students on progress towards the goals and communicate them with parents and guardians.
