The OES Special Education Committee is your direct link between our school’s Special Education/IEP community, PTA, students and families; and the diverse special education offerings of our local area.

We have posted updated information regarding Special Education opportunities and resources on the OES Special Education website page. There, you will find newly offered virtual workshops and webinars providing useful tips and suggestions for parents navigating a variety of issues. CLICK HERE to access our most current update of important information, (beneficial to ALL families!); and be sure to visit our OES PTA website for new and ongoing information regarding Special Education issues, workshops, etc.

If you are new to OES, seek additional information about Special Education and wish to establish connections with others at our school; or if you are interested in joining our committee, (all are welcome!), we encourage you to contact our Special Education Liaisons, Andrea Zuppas and Maren Wood at special.education@oaktonpta.net.

OES SCHOOL DIRECTORY

THE OES PTA DIRECTORY 

AND A to Z CONNECT APP

Have you received an email lately asking you to verify information for the Oakton Elementary Directory? 

In an effort to create an accurate and timely directory for Oakton Elementary, we are using a web-based system to allow parents to verify/edit their own directory listings.

Recently, you should have received an email from OaktonES@atozconnect.com asking you to verify/edit your information. Verifying your directory data should take no more than 5 minutes. Please follow the instructions in the email to complete the verification wizard within one week of receiving this email.  If you don’t, your information may not be correct in the online OES directory.

FAQs REGARDING THE OES DIRECTORY and A to Z APP

Who is listed in the Directory and A to Z App? 

Everyone who did not opt out through (1) the FCPS opt-out form you received at the beginning of the year OR (2) the opt-out option during the verification process mentioned above.

What if I didn’t receive this email? 

All returning OES families should have received this email so we can make sure we have the most current information. New families did not receive this email because their information is current.  If you did not receive this email, and think you should have, please contact our Directory Chair, Thursa Pecoraro.

Who is given access to the online A to Z Connect directory?

Only current PTA members will have access.

If I am not a current PTA member (membership must be renewed every year), can I join now and still receive a directory and online access?
