Important Girls on the Run Message

Dear OES Families,

As GOTR Chair (and past head coach), I have loved every minute of working with our school’s GOTR program over the last four years.  My daughter is heading off to middle school this fall. and we are in need of a new Chair for this important program.

Chairs for this Truly Important Program

If you have an interest in serving as GOTR Chair or a Co-Chair with someone else, Audra Hobler or I can answer any questions. Audra will continue to be at OES this next school year.  To contact Audra Hoebler, CLICK HERE.  To contact me, Lucy Nichols, CLICK HERE.

If you have a daughter who is interested in the GOTR program or who has been enjoying the program, please consider signing up to be our Chair or co-Chairs!

Exciting News About our GOTR Coaches

Also, I have just received truly WONDERFUL news about our coaching leadership for upcoming school year. Bridgette Joskow and Shana Schnaue will be serving as our GOTR team’s co-head coaches next year!!!   It is going to be a fabulous year!

Always Looking for New Volunteers

We certainly welcome new volunteers who are interested in coaching alongside our veteran coaches too!  If you are interested in being an assistant coach, please let Bridgette Joskow or Shana Schnaueknow.

New GOTR Format – Important Change

The GOTR format will be changing as well. OES will be offering one season of GOTR during the school year rather than two seasons as has been offered in previous years.  GOTR will be offered during the Spring Season only. More information will be available as we get closer to that time.

Where to Find More Information

If you do not know much about GOTR or would like to know more, we urge you to check out http://www.gotrnova.org.   Their mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.

Please Consider Getting Involved

It does take volunteers to run such a great program at OES.  We would hate for this program to go by the wayside; it truly is exceptional. I appreciate your consideration to volunteer some of your time for this wonderful program. Thank you and best wishes for a wonderful school year this Fall!
