James Madison High School Presents: The Capitol Steps

The Capitol Steps – the renowned political comedy troupe – will be performing at James Madison High School auditorium on Sunday, March 18th at 4pm.

The troupe will present a show based on songs from their current album “Orange is the New Barack.” Each show consists of tasteful lampooning guaranteed to leave both sides of the political spectrum laughing.

The troupe started in 1981, when John McCain was only 63 years old! Since then, they have appeared on “The Today Show,” “Nightline,” “CBS Evening News” and for many years in specials for National Public Radio.  Capitol Steps Troupe member and JMHS Alum Mark Eaton has helped to bring this incredible opportunity to our doorstep – right here in Vienna at the James Madison High School Auditorium.

The show is constantly changing, strenuously bi-partisan, and includes songs about everything in the news — Did you ever want to hear Donald Trump sing a rock song, Bernie Sanders sing a show tune, and Hillary Clinton do stand-up comedy?  It’s all the greatest hits of the campaign!
